Fighter crash in Mar Menor

Once again, one of the Air Force’s training aircraft crashed into the sea.

This afternoon, today, February 27, a C-101 fighter plane crashed into Mar Menor, the Air Force reports.

This is the third time in six months that the sea has crashed at La Manga. All three times the pilot has died. So also today.

The fatal pilot, according to the Air Force, is an experienced fighter pilot with over 2000 flight hours behind him. He was a test pilot and out to test one of the Air Force fighter jets. The Air Force is located in San Javier.

The Air Force has now allied with divers looking for wreckage in the sea, hoping to find the cause of the plane crash.
